Davvi Arctic Star
Situated on the outskirts of Swedish Karesuando, the Davvi Arctic Star is a simple and friendly hotel offering views over both the majestic Muonio River and the Kaarevaara fell. Here, you are well placed to explore Karesuando on foot, dropping in at Sweden’s most northerly church, paying a visit to the local museum and regularly crossing the Finnish-Swedish border.
There are 27 rooms in total, each being unpretentious and cosy. The Lagom rooms are inspired by the Swedish concept of Lagom: everything perfectly balanced in moderation - not too much, and not too little. The hotel also offers Fika rooms, which are slightly larger and named after the Swedish social institution of fika: a relaxing break, usually over coffee.

The Davvi Arctic Star is currently closed for refurbishment and reopens in autumn 2023.
Rooms
Fika Hotel Rooms
These standard rooms offer approx. 16 square meters of space. Simply decorated but comfortable, there are twin or double rooms to choose from, sleeping up to three people. Each room has an en-suite shower room, recently renovated. Spread over two floors, access to the higher floor is by spiral stairs only.

Lagom Hotel Rooms
These smaller Lagom double rooms are perfect for budget-minded travellers. Approximately 13 square meters each, the rooms are cosy and include everything needed for a pleasant night's stay. All rooms feature an en-suite shower room.
